We all have a story …. Here’s mine

Hi, I’m Katherine. I’ve always been a believer in lifelong learning, whether it’s a formal course, a self-development book or travel to a foreign country to experience a different culture. From a very young age I spent a lot of time reading personal development books and attending workshops/retreats on various topics. This led me to start my post-secondary education in the Faculty of Social Work as I loved working with people.  However, life events altered my direction and subsequently, I moved into the Faculty of Business.

 Upon completion of my degree, I enjoyed a successful 30 year career working for a major International  company. My career was varied, and my positions took me from “working in the field” in small town Alberta, Canada, to trading crude oil and oil products all over the world. I spent time in London, UK where I worked in the European markets then I relocated to Dubai U.A.E. where I looked after the Middle East, India, South Africa, and the Eastern markets. My last international assignment was in Barbados, B.V.I. my portfolio included Central America, South America and Caribbean. The experience of working in different cultures was very rewarding and provided many learning opportunities. I enjoyed meeting the people as much as “doing the deal”.  I developed skills in finding business opportunities and creating value.

One day when travelling for a global team meeting to Taipei, I had an epiphany that I simply could not ignore. 

As hard as I tried, it would not go away and I came to the realization that it was time to move on. I knew there was something more, something else ….. something greater calling me. So, I listened to my inner wisdom and did the unthinkable, I left a great paying job that I loved and I moved on.

 I believe I learned what I needed to learn from my international trading opportunities and there was more I needed to experience in life. As I enjoy working with people and I love self-development, the natural fit began to emerge and coaching was beckoning me. Although I ignored it for a while, fortunately the call became louder and here I am today, a Business and Mindset Coach.

 I work with entrepreneurs and business leaders to guide them to get crystal clear in their vision, develop their business and personal goals, while creating a life they desire.

We all have the answers inside us, we just need to quiet and trust ourselves long enough to listen. 

I believe in continuous lifelong learning and self-development. We each create our own life and we are 100% responsible for our choices which creates a life that is unique. By stepping out of my comfort zone and finding my inner courage I’ve been able to achieve my dreams and aspirations. I continue to live life on purpose, with passion and continually remind myself to follow my heart.

Professional Training

I am a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), where I am an accredited ACC coach. I continue to stay current with ongoing coaching education and mentor coaching.

I received my professional coaching through the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (“IPEC”). IPEC is a world leading International Coach Federation (“ICF”) accredited coach training program. The coaching methodology is an inside out approach using Core Energy Coaching™ and Energy Leadership™ frameworks. I’m trained as Master Practitioner in the Energy Leadership™ Index.

Since successfully completing my training and receiving my Certified Professional Coach designation (“CPC”), I’ve become a CORE Performance Leadership Dynamics™ Specialist. I work with entrepreneurs and leaders who want to operate at their highest level and this is done by getting at the CORE of what’s going on; what is underneath it all. Our energy has everything to do with how we show up in life and that by understanding energy, by being aware of our own and knowing how to shift that energy, we become unstoppable.

I’ve also completed a Specialized Master Program in Consulting and Coaching for Change through Oxford and HEC Paris. I completed my thesis on the role intuition plays in entrepreneurial decision-making and how it impacts change.
